Sowing the Seeds of Hope : An uplifting poem

Red earth, parched and dry,

wild and windswept, under a scorching sky.

A once lush land, forgotten in time,

promises broken, now an empty paradigm.

.

Barren and bleak, a wasteland of despair,

man’s greed destroyed, all that was fair.

Once-flowing rivers, now dry as bone,

weeping for lost memories, forever unknown.

.

But amidst this desolation, an unexpected pair,

hands intertwined, faces etched with care.

Their journey long, their goal in sight,

holding a single seed, a beacon of light.

.

On hands and knees, they claw at the ground,

motivation their only sound.

Their fingers bloodied, their bodies spent,

collapsing in each other’s arms, content.

.

Daily they tend to the earth with care,

sweat mingling with tears, a love to share.

Their toil rewarded as life takes root,

a glimmer of hope, a future to suit.

.

As the sun rises and sets, and the moon takes its place,

their hard work pays off, a growth to embrace.

Their love and labor bearing fruit,

a new life born, a precious pursuit.

.

A story of hope, of a seed once sowed,

cultivated with love, sweat, tears and blood.

A new life nurtured, unchained and free,

a future full of promise, for all to see.
