In the world of cells and of spreadsheets,
Where formulas dance to the beats,
I click and I drag,
My data’s in a bag,
Excel’s magic, my work’s always neat!
In the world of cells and of spreadsheets,
Where formulas dance to the beats,
I click and I drag,
My data’s in a bag,
Excel’s magic, my work’s always neat!
In shadows deep, a trust was torn in twain,
A friend turned foe, a bitter, dark refrain,
Betrayed by one I thought was true and just,
In silence, lies and treachery did trust.
.
But deeper wounds within, a different strife,
I let myself down, traded truth for life,
In shadows of my conscience, shame’s embrace,
For self-betrayal, I must seek a trace.
.
A world awash with broken bonds and lies,
Humanity betrayed, we hear the cries,
In unity, we once had placed our dreams,
But now division tears apart our seams.
.
A heart once open, now in pieces, lay,
Betrayed, deceived, in darkness I now sway,
In love and trust, I placed my faith and heart,
Now wounded, scarred, my world falls all apart.
In shadows cast by woes we hide, we flee,
A race from problems, worries in our wake,
But truth’s pursuit, relentless destiny,
Like echoes in the night, does not forsake.
.
We bolt from troubles, seeking sweet escape,
Yet burdens trail like gloom in the dawn,
They cling, they follow, like a cruel shape,
Invisible, but ever sure and drawn.
.
The road ahead, though winding, dark, and steep,
Will find us face to face with what we’ve shunned,
For running from our trials, though we weep,
In courage found, the battles are all won.
Ten thousand hours are foretold,
The perfection point a sight to behold.
When at once a skill can be sold,
And at last once can relax with their gold.
.
It feels so out of reach,
When I’d rather just lie on the beach.
Long sick of hearing to the speech.
I just want to taste the sweet peech.
.
So get on the grind,
Who knows what you’ll find.
Our dreams are clear, but the journey is blind.
All it takes is taking each step in time.
Trapped within a grey walled hellscape,
I feel a man reduced, more of an ape.
My eyes locked to the clock,
Watching as if I’m a hawk.
Fully prepared to make my escape.
Snowcapped peaks rise high,
the precipice of Heaven
Rainbows paint the path.
Raindrops keep falling on my head,
Should be curled up inside instead.
Who needs a shower,
When this superpower,
Cleans me all up in the end.
Windswept trees bellow,
Flowers escape the meadow,
Nature takes cover.
A stalker in the day yet absent at night.
A black being shaded from light.
Greets me at the door,
Ready to explore.
.
A being born in the recess of darkness,
Glued to my feet, as if a carcass.
We travel as peers,
Brothers bonded by fears.
.
The night brings reprieve,
A time aside to grieve.
For daybreak brings light,
And with it darkness’s delight.
Feet pound on pavement,
Sweat builds on brow’s
Mental resilience is tested,
All for the sake of a few pounds.
.
The rush of addrenaline,
Of a post runner’s high.
Fuels planning for tommorow,
As our dreams sail high.
.
Daybreak is dark and stormy,
Whilst our beds are worm and cozy.
Where it’s easier to ignore our alarms,
Then find motivation to test ourselves once more!
