Glued to devices,
We are slaves to our screens.
Separation anxiety,
Marketed into our brains.
.
Where once we spoke,
Now we tap.
Where once we met,
Now we swipe.
The art of speech traded away.
.
Man merging with machine.
Blended into one inseparable being
Is this an act of evolution?
Or something else entirely?

Where will technology take us in the future ?

Maybe to come to a point where we start to see a juxtaposition between soul and machine, foreign object and the natural. The latter requiring no object other than the bodies we inhabit. Body language suggests in connection to technology, a slouched over-look is usually required, especially in public places, where metaphorically absorbed, we are searching for something that was never worth the search. Meister Eckhart comes to mind and his Sermons on what is worth the search. Thank you for posting this poem and posing this question out there to all those fortunate to see them both.
