Where whispers spin,
Envy, the serpent, slithers within.
A poison subtle, a venomous sting,
In shades of moss, its presence will cling.
Green, the color of a covetous gaze,
A shade that in envy, veils its ways.
It weaves through thoughts like creeping vines,
Jealousy’s embrace, where darkness twines.
Eyes that linger on another’s gain,
A heart that harbors a bitter disdain.
In the emerald depths of envy’s lair,
Seeds of bitterness take root and snare.
Yet, in the heart’s garden, a choice may bloom,
To wither in envy or let kindness loom.
For in the canvas of life, colors blend,
Green need not be a foe, but a faithful friend.
Let not the tendrils of envy entwine,
For in its clasp, no joy we find.
Instead, let gratitude in hues be seen,
And paint the world with a tranquil green.
