7 Deadly Sins | Poem

In the grand tapestry of human tale,
Seven deadly sins unfurl and prevail.
A dance of shadows, a folly of fate,
Each sin a chapter, a twist in our slate.

In regal robes of purple, pride holds sway,
A sovereign in arrogance, day by day.
Ego’s throne, adorned in hues so deep,
Reflects the folly of the soul’s steep.

Greed, a relentless seeker in gold’s allure,
Hoarding wealth, an insatiable allure.
Coins clinking in avarice’s embrace,
In the golden glow, morals may efface.

Lust, a flame that burns in the scarlet heat,
A dance of desires, where passions fleet.
Crimson hues in the tapestry spun,
In the scarlet fires, reason may be undone.

Envy, a serpent with a green-eyed gaze,
Coiled in shadows, it silently sways.
In shades of green, it masks its bitter face,
A venomous dance, a toxic embrace.

Gluttony, a banquet in orange’s light,
Excess and indulgence, a voracious sight.
Feasts of abundance, an unbridled flow,
In the orange haze, restraint may go.

In the blackened night of wrath’s storm,
A tempest brews, emotions deform.
Eyes ablaze in anger’s relentless mire,
In the heart of wrath, reason may tire.

Sloth, a languor in the tranquil blue,
A somber hue where ambitions strew.
In lethargy’s realm, time stands still,
As purpose withers, in the azure chill.

In this grand drama of shadows and sin,
Let wisdom guide, let virtue begin.
For in the dance of light and shade,
Choose the path of goodness, undeterred and unswayed.
