The StoryTeller

Once we spoke with ease,
Sharing our truth with hearts open,
A time when trust was strong and clear,
And lies had no place to start.

Then came a quiet shift,
When eyes grew sharp, voices lost meaning,
A promise forgotten,
And kindness left with nowhere to go.

Neighbours whisper in the streets,
Doubtful to each comment heard,
Contracts written in thin air,
No weight to any single word.

Faith, once traded man to man,
Was scattered like loose grains of sand.

Shadows linger where light thrived,
Suspicion blooms where trust has fled,
A world adrift in what’s unsaid,
Wondering where the truth had gone.

I am lost – deep in the dark,
A basic shadow without form,
I dwell within whispers turning to storms,
I am numb. The very void.

Paths once clear have faded,
No light, no guide, no sound,
Empty.

The world spins round and round,
The river of life splits and turns,
Yet – I drift aimlessly.

My purpose dissolved,
A thread pulled in endless night,
With no will, no urge to fight,
I fade, erased in time.

Empty and cold,
A chasm’s depth penetrates my soul within,
No start, no end, no sin,
Just endless dark.
