  • I made Doodle Jump in Excel?!

    October 9th, 2024

Are you ready to experience the thrill of a Doodle Jump-like game, entirely built within Excel? Yes, you read that right—this game has been crafted using only Excel VBA and powerful formulas, proving that Excel isn’t just for spreadsheets! In this game, players jump between platforms, avoid enemies, and aim to reach new heights while tracking their high scores.

    Doodle Jump – Final ExcelDownload

Key Features of the Excel Doodle Jump Like Game:

    • Automatic Jumping Mechanism: The player character automatically jumps from one platform to another, with gravity and physics in play.
    • Enemy Patrols: Just like in classic platformers, avoid patrolling enemies as you move up the game map!
    • Screen Scrolling: As you ascend, the game map scrolls dynamically to keep the action front and center.
    • Real-Time Score Tracking: Track your progress and aim for the top of the leaderboard with each jump.
    • Fully Programmed in VBA: All game mechanics, from jumping and gravity to patrolling enemies, are controlled through Excel’s VBA.

Why Excel? Excel is a versatile tool, and while most people use it for data and business, it also offers a unique platform for creative projects like game development. With VBA, Excel’s programming language, users can automate tasks and create fully functional programs—like this game! The seamless integration of Excel formulas and VBA allows for game logic that replicates traditional programming environments, yet remains within the comfort of Excel.

  • News Spiral | Poem

    September 3rd, 2024

The headlines scream with crimson hue,
It’s pages drip with doom and fear,
My world unfolds as I unscroll,
Where the strong only can bear.

Eyes pressed to glass, craving the shock,
A thousand tragedies read, yet none our own,
In every click, a piece of soul –
is drawn to darkness we’re shown.

    Numb the mind,
    The cost in broken dreams,
Lost to chaos that they feed.

To be aware is to endure,
    A spiral spinning,
where bad news sells to those sheep,
While empathy is sold just to help us sleep.

  • I made a PLATFORMER Game in EXCEL

    Excel Platformer GameDownload

    Introduction

Welcome to my simple Platformer Excel game. The goal is simple, collect the Gems and reach the exit without hitting any mines or roaming robots.

    How To Play

Use the A and D keys to move left and right, and the W key to jump. You can only jump off platform (black surfaces), including walls. Gravity automatically pushes you down each game tick, so it can be difficult moving higher in the game map.

    Customise

The Game Map is fully customisable – change the internal platforms as you wish (just keep the outside black box). Increase the challenge by reducing the available platforms to jump up!

    Enemies

You control how many enemies spawn each game. Change the drop down in AP9 and AP10 to change how many mines and robots spawn with you.

  • The Day the World Went Dark – Poem

    August 29th, 2024

    Once we spoke with ease,
Sharing our truth with hearts open,
A time when trust was strong and clear,
And lies had no place to start.

    Then came a quiet shift,
When eyes grew sharp, voices lost meaning,
    A promise forgotten,
And kindness left with nowhere to go.

    Neighbours whisper in the streets,
    Doubtful to each comment heard,
    Contracts written in thin air,
No weight to any single word.

Faith, once traded man to man,
Was scattered like loose grains of sand.

    Shadows linger where light thrived,
Suspicion blooms where trust has fled,
A world adrift in what’s unsaid,
Wondering where the truth had gone.

  • Numb – Poem

    August 28th, 2024

I am lost – deep in the dark,
    A basic shadow without form,
I dwell within whispers turning to storms,
I am numb. The very void.

    Paths once clear have faded,
No light, no guide, no sound,
    Empty.

The world spins round and round,
The river of life splits and turns,
    Yet – I drift aimlessly.

    My purpose dissolved,
A thread pulled in endless night,
With no will, no urge to fight,
    I fade, erased in time.

    Empty and cold,
A chasm’s depth penetrates my soul within,
No start, no end, no sin,
    Just endless dark.
